90/10 Gilding Metal

90/10 Gilding Metal is a brass alloy that is an amalgamation of roughly 90% copper and 10% zinc, hence its name. Gilding metal is predominantly supplied in a sheet form and it showcases excellent cold working and formability properties.

We stock gilding metal in grade CW501L at S & D Non-Ferrous, which has a high resilience to stress corrosion and dezincification and the appearance is a striking golden colour, making it the classic choice of metal for architectural, craft and decorative purposes. It is also effortlessly enamelled, brazed, soldered or engraved.

To guarantee that our clients only receive exceptional metals when they order from S & D, our entire stock range is either UK or European sourced and kept onsite to allow for fast turnaround times.
